New Sponsorship is a perfect fit for Simple Shoes
We are thrilled to announce the beginning of a new partnership with Simple Shoes that we hope will allow the Beach Clean Network to make great strides in 2010. Following The Simple Beach Clean at Sandymouth Beach, North Cornwall, last year (which was organised by our good friend Cai at The Wavehouse) we've been talking to the very nice people at AMG Footwear, the offical arm of Simple Shoes in the UK.
So it's very exciting to be able to say, finally, that we're going to be working together to increase our membership, organise some more beach cleans around the UK (we thought we might even try and clean up an Island - more later) and generally try to get more done.
It is a great line to say that Simple are a perfect fit but really they are. Simple are an ethical company that makes shoes from sustainable and recycled materials. A shoe company with a soul? Well I never! But here they are, on our side. And we love them.
So welcome Shaun, Alice and the team. We can't wait to get things moving.
North Devon Beach Cleans

In 2009 Tom Hynes at The Coast and Coutnryside Service organised a project to determine which beaches in North Devon get cleaned regularly. The results will be available shortly. But it does mean that there are a lot of beaches in North Devon that recieve the care they deserve - of course there is still more to be done. If you'd like to organise a beach clean and would like to help, get in touch with us or Tom himself at tom.hynes@devon.gov.uk
